About the Role
You understand basketball — the intensity, preparation, and constant pursuit of improvement that drive great programs. As an Account Executive focused on Basketball, you’ll join a dedicated sales team helping bring performance technology to high school and college programs across the United States.
You know what it’s like to lead people, motivate athletes, and manage the organized chaos that comes with basketball season. You’ve built relationships across the sport — from head coaches to strength and conditioning coordinators — and you have the credibility to engage them in meaningful conversations about performance, health and safety.
This is a hands-on, high-energy role for a driven salesperson with experience in sports or sports tech, a genuine love for basketball, and a passion for helping programs perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a targeted sales plan focused on NCAA and high school basketball programs.
- Manage the entire sales cycle — from prospecting and discovery to proposal, negotiation, and close — using proven, structured sales processes.
- Present and sell PlayerData’s performance technologies, including athlete monitoring wearable systems and performance analytics platforms, as essential tools for player and program development.
- Utilize events and a robust PlayerData ambassador group to gain introductions to key prospects
- Leverage webinars and social media marketing strategies to help drive inbound traffic to supplement pipeline
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking in CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Collaborate with the wider North America Commercial team to refine strategies, share insights, and drive consistent results.
